Hi Jim and all,
As others have said, the woman in the red cap was Mary Lorrie Davis,
original Broadway cast member, and creator of the Abie Baby character.
As to your other questions: No, Lynn Kellogg was not there. I don't know who
you mean by "Sir Shadow". If you tell me where you got this name maybe I can
answer your question...? And lastly, there were several crews shooting at
the reunion. One crew was shooting video for the Archives. They got about an
hour and a half of raw footage which I have not yet gotten or seen, but
should have soon. The other professionals there filming, who shot the entire
party, were shooting for La MaMa's archives. I had hoped to be able to get a
copy of that for our archives, but unfortunately I've been told they wont
copy it for us. I would love to see it...
I have sent out the word to those I know shot home video, in hopes of
collecting as much of it as I can. A project like what Dauber mentioned
might be possible, but a great deal of work. We have in our midst Jeff
Lunger, an extremely talented film maker and editor (currently working on a
major Hair related documentary). Jeff edited all the film available for
viewing at the reunion - from the film introductions, to that compilation of
Let The Sunshine In from all over the world, to the television clips loop.
He works with the Archives a lot, and is actually our video
researcher/editor type person and therefore would be the person to edit
together a documentary about the reunion, however being as good at what he
does as he is, he is booked solid, so most likely wouldn't be able to get to
this anytime very soon.
In any case I will see what kind of footage we have as it starts coming in,
and check back with you all when we know more what we are talking about.
With certainty, there will be more film clips and audio clips on the web
site, which may have to suffice for now. Thanks again to all for their
compliments. I greatly appreciate them. There are a few more photos up as of
yesterday - a group from Teda Bracci, with a few people who weren't pictured
before - Teda, Barbara Moore, Lelan Berner. Will put even more up as they
come in. One quick note to several people who have written that they will
try not to duplicate what we already have - please don't edit! Send them
all, and let me blow them up and look for who is in the background. My
current quest is to get at least one photo of everyone who was there. I
love, as Jim P said, seeing the reunion from different sets of eyes as I
look through peoples photos. Everyone's expereince was slightly different
and one can get that feel going through different people's photos. I would
love to replicate that on the web site, so keep 'em coming! Thanks Jim P for
sending yours.
Nina
