'Don't be heading over to that new off-Broadway musical, BINGO, to catch
Heather MacRae...  By "mutual consent", she's no longer in the show.

That's not terribly unusual by the way, nowadays, and never a
reflection, necessarily, on the actor. But here's the weider part, in
terms of its producers/director. They've replaced Heather with another
big gal.

But, at the end of August, a pal of mine auditioned for that same part,
all excited. This gal, though, is extraordinarily slim. Which, now,
clearly, is absolutely not how the show's creators, saw that role.

So, the question is, why did they waste even one actor's time,
auditioning for a part she was never going to get? 

As many here know, age is not a factor in getting your hopes up for a
part. And a run in anything, the ability to have a role for a while, is
still manna for many a working actor.

And sad, how easily so many producers and directors, still will,
seemingly willingly, create even a small heartbreak,
