we're having at the University of Chicago this Thursday, January 19.

Media and the Public Interest: Debating the Responsibility of the
Press in a Democratic Society Thursday, January 19, 2006, 6:30 to
8:00, University of Chicago

A debate about media and politics featuring Nation editor and
publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel and The Nation's Washington DC
correspondent John Nichols against Chicago Tribune publisher David D.
Hiller and Tribune Deputy Managing Editor James Warren. Moderated by
Danielle Allen, the Dean of Humanities at the University of Chicago.
Organized and sponsored by the Chicago Society. Co-sponsored by The
Nation and the Chicago Tribune.

The debate will take place at the Oriental Institute at the University
of Chicago from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Located at 1155 East 58th Street,
the event is free and open to the public. No RSVPs. Seating is
limited. Please arrive early. The debaters will take questions from
the audience.
