In reading the article on the Times site, it appears that what I referred to 
as the "10,500 model" is actually a "10-to-the-500-power" model; i.e., the 
"500" appears as a superscript to the 10, which did not come out as such in 
the e-mail sent by Jim.

Not only does this not negatively affect my comments, but, in fact, it only 
strengthens them.
