For those unaware, Russia is undergoing a severe - and dangerous - reversion to proto-totalitarian ways. Putin and his cornies have taken control of all but one of the TV station, turning them all into "national" stations that are never critical of Putin. A similar situation is occurring with printed media. The station noted in this article was the "last bastion" of independent TV media in the entire country. This is a situation that demands careful attention this year. Peace.
