Canadian Beef is of the "same" quality as US, always has been and always will be. Trade, importing/exporting has been going on for over 200 years. 
Same inspection standards etc........ what happened was opportunistic Cattlemen from Montana jumped on the One mad cow issue for personal profit. Meanwhile US packers and slaughter houses have suffered as have Canadian exporters, because of these opportunists/carpetbaggers.

The ban has been over ruled as it should have been.

At the end of the day, the US market will suffer from these Montana profiteers, because they have put their own out of business, for the Canadian Ranchers are building their own packing houses (state of the art/more efficient/competitive facilities) to export to international markets, putting many US packing houses out of business.

Pigs do not fly, short term gain for long term losses!
