also though ian when you say that you must recognize christ or lead a life in christ ; that is open to interpretation;
specifically, one could very well argue that he who leads a christly life regardless of the labels one puts on it is one with christ; also the scriptures have been bastardized edited entire books left out and inserted etc

you are not holding an original unedited text; i also wonder where in the scriptures does it say that this is the unedited verbatim word of god and that it must be followed every word with literal meaning?

and also there are many other possibilities besides meeting in heaven and hell

there is more to the whole thing than christian theology
god did not create a billion people in china who are atheists
or animists or daoists etc to throw them into a pit of hell;
that is the thought of a man not a god

and yes the christian pretension to monopolize the face of god is offensive and in my subjective opinion blasphemous
