unfortunately I must agree with you, it is just a BOOK, written by people 
and most (all?) religions are just instruments of control of the mass of
humans, 
wielded by a few more clever ones...

God is mostly silent these days.  I cannot believe he idly tosses a tsunami
around!
And he has said none of the things in the bible. That's a fact. 

Dead? Maybe. Or maybe he is a great concentration of spirit that surrounds
us?
and what we do with it creates/triggers  the results?
 
Or could it be that  god/gods seem to have  either given up on his/their
creations 
and is/are  occupied with other issues (?) 
or do they just not care and watch to see what we will do with what we have
been 
given?

The outlook is not bright at all.

Years ago profits wrote a book to help us live a better life, but who is to
say what's 
better for an individual. I think a lot of what the Bible preaches is or
could be good for 
society. But too many people take stock in that book like it was a road map
for their 
lives.. Wake up people! It's a fu*king book! Indians pray on many Gods.
Some pray to 
Buddha, others to Ala.. but while they are all praying to their Gods.. The
appointed 
governments are preying on them. I am so tired of Governments screwing
people, 
killing people in the name of Peace and Religion. GOD is dead.. If he were
not.. he 
would not let such evil take control.. The meek shall inherit... Inherit
what? The only 
thing that'll be left when they get through are the cock roaches... maybe
that's what 
they want.. seeing how they are the biggest cock roaches of them all..
