Some groups around the country have already held press conferences or rallies, or staged send-offs for people headed to Crawford, or set up Camp Caseys in solidarity with the one in Crawford, or held protests at media outlets to demand coverage. Send us a report on what you do, and we'll post it on the website.

Meet With Your Congress Member About Barbara Lee's Resolution of Inquiry on the Downing Street Memos
Can you spare a half an hour to meet with your congress member, together with some of your friends and allies, and ask him or her to co-sponsor Barbara Lee's Resolution of Inquiry on the Downing Street Memos (H. Res 375)? Democracy for America has set up this events system to help you do so.

Don't Hold an Event Without Telling the Media!
Call, don't just write, your local media to alert them to your local events. The media love events that give a local angle on a national story. Help them out. Also call your local politicians and state legislators and congressional offices to urge them to attend or send a representative.
Here are general resources for events, including information on working the media:

Here is a guide to working your local media:

The kits above are focused on the Downing Street Memos, but the same techniques apply for events focused on demanding that Bush meet with Cindy.
