Great stuff. Thanks.
My cousin is living in La Habana - I was there with him the other day. Among other things he is producing a film, rather along the lines of Buena Vista Social Club. He has got all the old barmen and maitre Ds etc, who knew the likes of Sinatra, George Raft, Meyer Lansky etc, interviews them in the present day and intersperses those interviews with flashbacks to the 40s and 50s, where these old guys and the stars are played by young actors. Of course no US citizen can be involved in backing the project but I think/hope he has got the money from Canada and Europe.
Great place for a holiday. US citizens are welcome. If you log on to Granma there is a section where they tell you how to go about getting a visa. Otherwise try Google or am I encouraging you all to do something unpatriotic? I am sorry - please ignore this email in its entirety.
