Re: New light shed on the death of Socrates
Sorry, again, ATTACHMENTS just DO NOT PASS INSPECTION on the MB-Civic List.
Attachments are SCRUBBED, which means they =Just Don't Make It=.
I view the Civic List from The Internet.
Anything sent to the Civic List NOT as an Attachment, and that is
semi-readable when *Viewed From A Web Page In HTML or Plain Text On The
Internet*, works for me.
People, everyone, need to start to understand that I think, as there are
SEVERAL posts here each month that the messages are sent as ATTACHMENTS,
and they wind up in the garbage can for the most part it would seem.
If you send something as an "Attachment" (at least for me, and maybe anyone
else, who views the Civic List with a Web Browser on The Internet), or an
"Imbedded Object" or "Imbedded Gif or Jpeg" or "Whatever", anything other
than something relatively readable in people's Web Browsers, all I see on
the screen is "Attachment Has Been Scrubbed".
*Sometimes*, I see a LINK to the "Scrubbed Attachment", *however*, 9 times
out of 10 when I click on that Link, if the person sending it *still has
not* put it in some form that is easily readable with a Web Browser such as
Netscape or Internet Explorer, but has put it in some form using some
program like MS Office or something, all I see is *A JUMBLE OF WORDS* and
unreadable COMPUTER SYMBOLS all stirred together.
In this particular instance, if you can take the original document, and see
if within the program you used to create it there is something in there
that says "CONVERT TO PLAIN TEXT", or some other Web Browser easily
readable form, that might work.
