yup. just as the anti-war slogan for the vietnam episoe was "go to exotic lands, meet interesting people, and kill them," the slogan for thanksgiving might have been "go to a new land, meet interesting, thoughtful, friendly people, have a nice meal with them, and then kill them and steal all their land."
and i thought i was the only one who remembered the true history of "thanksgiving"!...LOL
peace.

.......the history of thanksgiving as i understand it [please correct me someone if i am in error}...the first pilgrims to arrive and settle on the north american continent ended up in big trouble when winter arrived...they had no food...the local native americans kindly supplied them with provisions for the winter [very neighbourly]...the pilgrims returned this kindness by taking all the native american lands by force of arms and trickery, moving them to reservations where most of them still live and are abused by the very people who celebrate thanksgiving....and iraq is a surprise ??? mad baker
