========
I really do not think the American people care about the deaths of the
Iraqi civilians.
========
I care, Harold. Little that does. However, you must remember, not mildly
reminisce about, but truly remember, that "The American People" for the
most part neither see Iraqis being killed on their television sets, read
about them being killed in their newspapers, or get the news of Iraqi
civilians being slaughtered from any other source, other than *maybe* some
simple numbers indicating a certain amount.
If it wasn't for me being on this list and you (among others) putting up
that article, and similar news stories, I wouldn't have a clue either. The
closest "large newspaper" near me is in San Antonio, a city of about 1.4
million people, it's called The Express News. Someone came in and bought
it, and then bought the only competing newspaper The San Antonio Light and
shut down The San Antonio Light, long ago. Since then San Antonio, a giant
military town, and surrounding areas, like mine, receive little if any Real
News about Iraq other than "We are winning the war on Terrorism..!!", and
I've never seen anything other than just a number indicating "Iraqi
Deaths", and usually not even a number.
Multiply this situation of a virtual News Blackout by several million
people around the USA, and you have your answer. Americans can't really
care about what they never hear about. And so they don't.
At least with Viet Nam we got to see little naked girls with their clothes
burned off covered in Napalm walking down the street crying in hysterics,
which made A Big Difference.
With this war, the test one for all The New Improved Clean Wars to come, as
you apparently already know, the masters of misinformation, disinformation,
and no information at all, are doing a bang up job to keep The American
Public as far in the dark about actual Real Happenings as possible.
Especially dead people. Keep those dead people off our TV sets, we're
trying to watch Janet Jackson's tit during the football game.
Besides, hey, fuck those Hajis, they're just like the gooks were except
their eyes are different. Did you bring any beer..? We're running low on
beer and half time is almost over.
=====
The atrocities the American soldiers are doing/committing every day in Iraq
are pretty much ignored.

=======
It's easy to ignore something you never see nor hear about. Again, only
about 15 percent of ALL the people who use The Internet in America (I think
that's something like 15 percent of 80? million people) use it for News
Retrieval. Ok, let's all do the math together. That means HOW? many
Americans don't have access to things like news.indepentent.co.uk,
TruthOut, AlterNet, NYTimes, WashPost (as if that makes much of a
difference), etc, and instead only have access to things like The Express
News which instead of reporting on Iraq prints neat things on how to baste
your turkey....?
A Majority of Americans.
Try to remember that. It's important.
=====
The line "it was a mistake you will be compensated" is so pathetic, shallow
and weak!!
======
It's been a tried and trued American Military-Government statement for as
long as I can remember.
Don't worry, though, some day there will be giant casinos in Iraq and
everyone will be happy, except those stuck by the side of the road selling
jewelry and baskets they have woven.
====
The American snipers killing women and children really sickens me !!
Later H
======
Wow, now you know how The Palestinians have felt about The Israelis for the
past Half Century.
Being sickened is nice, and even though you are in A Minority who even
realize what's going on in Iraq, Action is required.
We would all march on NYC or somewhere against it, but as History has
proven, maintaining a healthy grass turf on a lawn is much more important
than addressing paltry matters such as civilian deaths, injustice,
inequality, or the fall of Democracy, besides our boss won't let us off of
work today and we have to keep working to keep paying taxes so they can buy
more bullets or the Government will come and take our homes away from us.
Be all that you can be.
It's not just a job anymore. It's a career.
