Ian, your response to my observations are really interesting.

1) You define faith narrowly as a belief in 'YOUR GOD', your interpretation of Christ's teachings based on 'YOUR' interpretations of a Bible which has been translated so many times, that no logical or even faithful human being can swear to its accuracy.

2. The 'words', 'actual words of Christ' were not transcribed during his lifetime, thus there is no 'real time' documentation of his words. It was not until many years after, (recollections and interpretations of Christ's works and words were documented).

3. Lastly, I would like to pose a question: 

Did the child or mother who died as a result of the recent tsunami in the Indian Ocean, send them directly to 'YOUR" hell because they were not Christian and had not been 'saved'?!
