Remembering John Lennon

http://www.lyricscafe.com/l/lennon_john/workingclasshero.htm

I just had to pause for a moment and remember John Lennon.

Breathe in..... Breathe out..... Breathe in..... Breathe
out.... Relax.... Relax more.... Breathe in..... Breathe
out.... Ahhhh.... peace..... the real thing....

I got tired of listening to all the maggots of politics playing songs,
putting on shows, promising illusions out of their butts, and bilking
another generation out of their money, health, time, and lives.

John just seems so much more real.

And of course, like so many others, his music and lyrics live on.

I'm so glad geniuses don't have 4 year term limits.

I was living about 9 blocks from him when he got whacked and walked
over. It was night I seem to remember. I walked to the bandshell that
night I think, whenever it was, sat down right in the center, drank wine,
etc, with another guy, fell asleep all night, woke up in the morning,
turned around, and it seemed a million people were there. I turned back
around and there was a barricade 2 inches in front of me with lots of
police and a picture there I think. Some people spoke. Maybe they played
some music. It's hazy. It was a long night. It was a hard day's
night. And the story rambles on...

If he had still been alive today, he would have led a couple of million
people, at least, onto The Great Lawn, just to "hang out", just by walking
there with an acoustic guitar over his shoulder and Yoko by his side.

"Conan, what is best in life....!!??"

"To crush your enemies, drive them before you, and hear the lamentations of
their women.....!!!!"

In John's case happiness was not a warm gun.

He stood up to assholes, madmen, politicians, systems, ideologies,
illusions, destruction, etc.

They shot him in the head because they were out of trees.

You'll always be so much more warm to my heart than them, John.

Can you imagine, John.......??

Them saying "Keep Off The Grass" a couple of blocks from where you live...??

LOL...........

And a Republican Billionaire who bought his way into the Mayorship of NYC...

LOL............

I know... heh... I feel exactly the same way.

LOL.................................!!

What an asshole the guy must be. Among others, heh...

But you know, John, a working class hero can be of some value we hope to
God still. I found out that if you hold on you can escape the isolation of
freedom that the madness mandates. Ah, Love. My mother used to... Well,
I remember when you sang "Daddy don't go.... Mama come home....". Now
they're both gone. But I remember them. You're gone. But I remember you
too. I imagine them standing on The Great Lawn with me watching you play
the guitar for a few million people, John. Oh, my love, that Bush is such
a jealous guy. So are his pals. How do you sleep, John, when you wake up
in a cold sweat century after century shouting "I don't want to be a
soldier..!!"....?? You stared into that microphone, and that camera, and
that face of the world watching you, sat in your bed, and whispered "Give
Peace A Chance", and it shook the earth. Ahh... But look at me. I'm
gettin all reminiscent and mushy stuff like that, and you in the ground for
24 years now, and the world still being led down the toilet by assholes
from chickenshitville.

John... I know you're out there. I know you're listening. I just thought
I would write you a note in the middle of all this death, destruction,
madness, and smiling faces greeting us as they keep shoving us down the maw
of extinction and send it out into space as a last SOS for our planet
streaking across the universe. You always did say thinking was the best
way to travel.

If you get it, you don't have to say anything, just wink. I'll know.

Wow...!! That was quick, John. LOL.........!!!!!!!!!!

Well... I feel much better now, John. I'm glad I got that off my chest.

Nice talking to you again, John.

Next time I take the lawn...
